TEST DRIVE MEME
TEST DRIVE ![]() Welcome to Visada's TDM! Feel free to get as creative as you'd like with these prompts. None of the threads will count as game canon. This is just to give you a chance to play around with the setting and get a general idea of just some of things that can be done in the game. OPTION 1 Mistress Philenor, one of the vivacious butterfly-winged fairies that runs a shop in town, has asked you and another helpful soul to go out to the small lake on the northwestern side of the island and pick some Swallowtails. She needs a bushel of the flowers to make more of her popular aphrodisiacs. You and your partner for the outing leave the village and make your way to your destination. The water in the lake is clear and fresh, you can almost see all the way to the bottom. A small island sits in the middle of the lake, within swimming distance to those so athletically inclined. A tiny stream travels off to the west, emptying into the sea. On the southern shores of the lake grow the Swallowtails: great flowers of vibrant hues of blue. Just remember Philenor's warning. Breathing too deeply of the pollen may have unintended consequences. OPTION 2 Word arrives by lamassu post that there's unrest with the sea dragons. They're refusing to aid the villagers and transportation between the main island and the smaller one to the east has been cut off. People have been stranded there for two days now and something must be done. You volunteer to help and head toward the eastern shore. Maybe you meet others on your way and you decide to work together to see if you can resolve this. Maybe you enlist someone else's help when you learn that Lagiocrus (an ancient blue dragon) is cross with his nephew Jura (a young, free spirited green fellow who doesn't have much respect for people yet) over his foolish courtship of the princess Galzra (a haughty blue dragon from the far north). All of the other dragons in the vicinity are too caught up in the drama to worry about the petty concerns of mortals. Convince Lagiocrus that young love should triumph, or at least be allowed to get its heart broken. Talk up Jura to the disinterested object of his affection. Try to get Jura to see that there are other dragons in the sea. Or find some other way to either end the argument or lure the other dragons' interest back to helping out their landlocked neighbors. OPTION 3 After a long week, you want nothing more than to relax at the beach. It's a great day for it. Fair skies, warm sands, calm surf, and naked bodies sunning themselves along the shore. Wait. Yes, that's right. This is a nude beach. Or if it wasn't, it is now that the first visitor decided to exchange bathing suit for birthday suit. Do you join in? Ogle your neighbors? Swagger up to the hottie on the yellow towel a few yards away and start a conversation? Have fun. Enjoy yourself. You've earned the day off. OPTION 4 Wildcard! Make up your own prompt! Play around with the setting however you'd like. |

Josephine Montilyet | Dragon Age: Inquisition | OTA
"These are the swallowtails, are they not?" Always prim and proper, that was Josephine-even when the skirt of her dress was hiked up to wade through the shallows of the lake in search of flowers for Mistress Philenor. But without any samples handy, the fairy had only offered the pair she'd asked to search for a description, and a warning about just how powerful the flower could be. That, at least, was probably the last resort as far as discovering whether or not they were the right flowers.
Picking one, she brought it closer to her face, eyes running over the green and red leaves. It seemed unlikely that any other plant could be the one they were searching for, considering the distinct color. Turning towards her companion, she held the flower up, offering it for their own inspection.

The island was practically a paradise. It certainly was in comparison to Thedas, at least, and if it wasn't for the distinct air of responsibility about their place and role here Josephine would almost consider it a vacation. She'd come to Visada a virgin, but considering how important Ciaran made it all sound *and* the fact that she had recently found herself without a job, Inquisition disbanded, Josephine had embraced her role wholeheartedly.
But there was a difference between being willing to have sex in the privacy of one's home and the state this beach seemed to be in. She recalled most wearing clothing, at the very least, and being greeted with the sight of a dozen or so nude bodies made the Antivan's dusky cheeks light up with red. Wearing a one-piece bathing suit (which was, in its own way, new to her-and even a bit too revealing) meant that Josephine stuck out like a sore thumb as she laid out her towel, still intending on relaxing beneath the warm sun for a time.

He looked up when his companion spoke, stepping closer to take the flower, turning it this way and that in his hand, but still keeping it at a good, safe distance from his face. He would rather not have the pollen have weird effects on him. "I don't think so, with these colors-- she said blue, right?"
Re: 1
"Then maybe we should just keep looking. If we find nothing that's blue and matches the description well elsewise, these must be it." That meant more wading through the waters of the lake, but that wasn't exactly unpleasant, either.

"We can always take a few of each. They're not that heavy, and even if they're not the flowers she wanted, they might be useful for something else." And that way they covered all their bases. He kept the flower in his hand just in case, going back to looking through the other flowers growing across the shore, venturing a little farther to areas they hadn't checked out yet.

Continuing the search, she waded a little further away from shore as well, though the water could only get so deep before plants the sort they were looking for simply couldn't flourish. "Have you had any luck?"
no subject
"I don't know," he stood a little more upright, spotting the flowers in her hand and handing over the bag if she wanted to put them in there too. "There are a few others here but they haven't blossomed yet. I'm not sure they'd be of much use like this, one way or the other."
no subject
"Hopefully we've found what she's looking for, then. If not, I suppose we'll have no choice but to come out this way again." Barring the question of just why the fairy would need to produce aphrodisiacs in such quantity, this was far from the worst task Josephine had ever set herself to, between the pleasant setting and pleasant company.

"I won't mind if we do. It's not so bad here, is it?" He gave the lake a glance, enjoying the view. Strange plants and magic aside - he was still trying to get used to the idea that apparently that was just a thing here - it really was a pretty place. The whole island reminded him a little of a remote resort, actually, which he really didn't mind so much at all. "Is it very different, here? Compared to where you're from."
no subject
"What about yourself? Did you have anywhere nearly as nice as this where you come from?" It was hard too imagine anywhere being quite so nice, but there was always the possibility. After all, most of them had come here to help save, well, everything, not just because of the nice living conditions.

He glanced over his shoulder and at the small village, nodding. "We should, yes. Here's to hoping this is what she's looking for, right?" He smiled and turned around, waiting for her so they could start on their way back.

About midway through, their path crossed a small stream, Josephine stopping beside it. "Do you mind if we stop a moment to take a drink?"
no subject
He slowed down as they approached the stream, then stopped altogether when she spoke, shaking his head. "Not at all. I could use a sip myself."
no subject
Clearing her throat, she held it out to him-stained slightly blue. "I believe that we, ah, did find the right flower." If just some juice leftover from gripping the plant had this effect, it was hard to imagine what sort of potion could be made from it.
no subject
That reason became all too apparent when she spoke, holding her hand out to him. He immediately looked down at his own, but he hadn't held onto the flowers for nearly as long as she had, and he had no stains there. Which he would normally be grateful for, but right now it was probably going to make things very awkward and complicated. "The water-- it doesn't wash off, does it? Jesus. We can try to... wipe it off, maybe? Are you..." He trailed off, wincing in slight embarrassment and entirely incapable of even finishing that thought.
no subject
After the few seconds it took her to realize she'd agreed that attempting to wipe it off was an option, she produced a kerchief and began to furiously scrub at her hand, blushing deeply as she tried to avoid making eye contact-or any visual connection, really-with Bruce.
no subject
"Any luck?" He tried to peek at her hand, still spotting the stain even from a few feet away. He looked around, though he knew it was pointless - there wasn't much at all that could help them around here. "Maybe we should just keep going. The fairy might be able to help you once we get there."
Never mind that he didn't even know if she'd be able to manage the rest of the walk, but at least they could try.
no subject
Walking was slower with her so affected, but progress wasn't stopped entirely either. Of course, the more time the flower had to course through her system, the more drastically it impacted Josephine. Despite herself, she let out a quiet, needy whine as they continued to move on.
no subject
Bruce kept his eyes firmly on the path, staying some feet away from her, silence settled awkwardly between them. Talking might have helped in diffusing some tension, but on the other hand it could also worsen her situation, and besides he couldn't think of anything to say. When she let out a whine he glanced over briefly, a part of him feeling pretty bad for her, even as his cheeks grew a little warmer.
no subject
Still, she tried to offer something resembling a smile and a nod for his concern. "I'll be fine. We can... can keep going, please." Getting back to her hut and some privacy would allow Josephine to work this out with at least some dignity.
