TEST DRIVE Welcome to Visada's TDM! Feel free to get as creative as you'd like with these prompts. None of the threads will count as game canon. This is just to give you a chance to play around with the setting and get a general idea of just some of things that can be done in the game. OPTION 1 Mistress Philenor, one of the vivacious butterfly-winged fairies that runs a shop in town, has asked you and another helpful soul to go out to the small lake on the northwestern side of the island and pick some Swallowtails. She needs a bushel of the flowers to make more of her popular aphrodisiacs. You and your partner for the outing leave the village and make your way to your destination. The water in the lake is clear and fresh, you can almost see all the way to the bottom. A small island sits in the middle of the lake, within swimming distance to those so athletically inclined. A tiny stream travels off to the west, emptying into the sea. On the southern shores of the lake grow the Swallowtails: great flowers of vibrant hues of blue. Just remember Philenor's warning. Breathing too deeply of the pollen may have unintended consequences. OPTION 2 Word arrives by lamassu post that there's unrest with the sea dragons. They're refusing to aid the villagers and transportation between the main island and the smaller one to the east has been cut off. People have been stranded there for two days now and something must be done. You volunteer to help and head toward the eastern shore. Maybe you meet others on your way and you decide to work together to see if you can resolve this. Maybe you enlist someone else's help when you learn that Lagiocrus (an ancient blue dragon) is cross with his nephew Jura (a young, free spirited green fellow who doesn't have much respect for people yet) over his foolish courtship of the princess Galzra (a haughty blue dragon from the far north). All of the other dragons in the vicinity are too caught up in the drama to worry about the petty concerns of mortals. Convince Lagiocrus that young love should triumph, or at least be allowed to get its heart broken. Talk up Jura to the disinterested object of his affection. Try to get Jura to see that there are other dragons in the sea. Or find some other way to either end the argument or lure the other dragons' interest back to helping out their landlocked neighbors. OPTION 3 After a long week, you want nothing more than to relax at the beach. It's a great day for it. Fair skies, warm sands, calm surf, and naked bodies sunning themselves along the shore. Wait. Yes, that's right. This is a nude beach. Or if it wasn't, it is now that the first visitor decided to exchange bathing suit for birthday suit. Do you join in? Ogle your neighbors? Swagger up to the hottie on the yellow towel a few yards away and start a conversation? Have fun. Enjoy yourself. You've earned the day off. OPTION 4 Wildcard! Make up your own prompt! Play around with the setting however you'd like.

Adorable isn't exactly what I'm going for, but I suppose it's better than coming off like a jerk.

[ Said whilst giving him a very fake look of noble determination. ]

[Well, that was the question, wasn't it?]

Not a jerk? That's pretty much my number one priority.

My limited experience so far has definitely not contained any jerk-vibes, and I deal with assholes every day so I consider myself a bit of an expert.

[ She was joking, but really it was depressingly true. ]

That's a bit of a shame, if you don't mind me saying so. Outside of Stark, I can't really say I know anyone too... annoying.

[And even Stark had his good days. Maybe. Probably when Steve wasn't around.]

I don't mind you saying so at all.

[ It was a lot more than a shame, really. It was appalling what some people thought was okay behaviour. ]

Enforces the whole "not a jerk" thing, really.

Is that why you came here? To avoid the jerks?

Not really, I don't let the fact that the world is populated by a whole lot of assholes slow me down. I just want to do some good, that's all.

[ Work out some of her remaining issues with just how easily she was taken out when she, Jess and Simpson tried to go after Kilgrave. ]

And you thought you could do that here?

[Not that he was judging her, but if she was New York based and wasn't part of SHIELD or a police force, he was curious what had drawn her to try to be a hero.]

[ She lightly bumped her shoulder against his in a friendly sort of way. ]

Come on, it's a magical sex-kingdom with fairies and dragons, like I was gonna pass up a chance to see that up close. But yeah, I guess I was hoping that I could. I wanna get better, you know? Stronger.

Don't take this the wrong way, please, but... couldn't you train back home? If what you wanted was to get stronger and better, you can do that anywhere. Why... I guess I'm curious why someone that isn't brought into that kind of life wants to.

Says the guy who let people pump him full of weird chemicals so he could go fight nazis.

It was less to go fight Nazis and more to help my country, but... it wasn't like they'd let me before that.

[Translation: He'd been a liability.]

[notpatsy]

And why are you here now? Don't worry, I'll answer your question too.

Because they need help. And I'd rather help stop whatever the problem is here than to risk it coming back home to bite us from behind.

Exactly.

[ So what was so strange about Trish being there again...? ]

[americanclassic]

[Because Trish was a radio talk show host and not a warrior. Duh.]

I have a feeling anything I say is going to get me smacked.

[notpatsy]

[ She grinned. ]

Smart man. Okay so two things, I could throw your ass in the dirt. It wouldn't stay there, but I could do it. Secondly, you didn't start out a super soldier either. Think of me in terms of a new recruit.

Fair enough.

[They walked a little while longer, then Steve turned to give her a curious look.]

You really think you can knock me on my ass?

[Color him interested.]

[ She didn't really say anything in response, opting for an "action speaks louder than words" type approach instead by quite simply making an attempt at throwing Captain America down on the ground. As you do.

She figured having the element of surprise might make her chances better. It wasn't his size that was the problem really, it was the training. ]

[The difference between her trying to throw him and her trying to throw Jessica is that Steve had spent far too long constantly on alert. Even strolling along with a pretty woman, especially after she'd made that mention, he saw her move coming from a mile away.

And instead of dodging or doing anything that might push her away, because hey, he wasn't trying to hurt her, he let her try the move to see what kind of style she had. What kind of training. His hand slid out to grab her arm, gentle as he pulled her in against him, one brow lifted.]

What size is the person you trained with?

[Because she did have training, but it wasn't quite enough to do what she wanted it to. Or maybe he was just not as easy a target as her pseudo-sister. He held her there for a moment before letting her go, not wanting her to feel trapped.]

[ Ah well, it was worth a shot. And she didn't mind the way he pulled her close like that. She did pout a little at him, but only for a moment because that eyebrow raise was pretty sexy and she ended up smiling. She also didn't particularly feel the need to move too far away once he let her go. ]

He's shorter than you.

[ She eyed him up and down, assessing. ]

You've got wider shoulders too. Obviously you're stronger but that goes without saying.

[ Steve was about the same size as Simpson, really, but this probably wasn't the time to bring up that one time she nearly killed herself by taking combat drugs to save Jessica's life. ]

So my point stands, I'm strong enough to throw your beautifully sculpted ass down, you're just better than me.
