TEST DRIVE Welcome to Visada's TDM! Feel free to get as creative as you'd like with these prompts. None of the threads will count as game canon. This is just to give you a chance to play around with the setting and get a general idea of just some of things that can be done in the game. OPTION 1 Mistress Philenor, one of the vivacious butterfly-winged fairies that runs a shop in town, has asked you and another helpful soul to go out to the small lake on the northwestern side of the island and pick some Swallowtails. She needs a bushel of the flowers to make more of her popular aphrodisiacs. You and your partner for the outing leave the village and make your way to your destination. The water in the lake is clear and fresh, you can almost see all the way to the bottom. A small island sits in the middle of the lake, within swimming distance to those so athletically inclined. A tiny stream travels off to the west, emptying into the sea. On the southern shores of the lake grow the Swallowtails: great flowers of vibrant hues of blue. Just remember Philenor's warning. Breathing too deeply of the pollen may have unintended consequences. OPTION 2 Word arrives by lamassu post that there's unrest with the sea dragons. They're refusing to aid the villagers and transportation between the main island and the smaller one to the east has been cut off. People have been stranded there for two days now and something must be done. You volunteer to help and head toward the eastern shore. Maybe you meet others on your way and you decide to work together to see if you can resolve this. Maybe you enlist someone else's help when you learn that Lagiocrus (an ancient blue dragon) is cross with his nephew Jura (a young, free spirited green fellow who doesn't have much respect for people yet) over his foolish courtship of the princess Galzra (a haughty blue dragon from the far north). All of the other dragons in the vicinity are too caught up in the drama to worry about the petty concerns of mortals. Convince Lagiocrus that young love should triumph, or at least be allowed to get its heart broken. Talk up Jura to the disinterested object of his affection. Try to get Jura to see that there are other dragons in the sea. Or find some other way to either end the argument or lure the other dragons' interest back to helping out their landlocked neighbors. OPTION 3 After a long week, you want nothing more than to relax at the beach. It's a great day for it. Fair skies, warm sands, calm surf, and naked bodies sunning themselves along the shore. Wait. Yes, that's right. This is a nude beach. Or if it wasn't, it is now that the first visitor decided to exchange bathing suit for birthday suit. Do you join in? Ogle your neighbors? Swagger up to the hottie on the yellow towel a few yards away and start a conversation? Have fun. Enjoy yourself. You've earned the day off. OPTION 4 Wildcard! Make up your own prompt! Play around with the setting however you'd like.

[A beat, her smile sliding into sly. ] Unless you're saying you'd rather see me rip my clothes off? I don't tend to strip for strangers.

[Maybe when she was three. ]

... My mom not being here. I don't think I can have an opinion on you stripping without getting slapped.

[This is expert conversation circling and Nat is impressed. Usually, this is where she checks out with a lie but they're both stuck here, trying go get this swallowtail.

She pauses, considers, and then:] How about a race to the prize? Whoever loses has to take a sniff?

[He looks about as athletic as she'd be without her mothers half of her genetics. The fair thing to do would be to keep it all very average; she's still deciding whether he's worth that extra effort.]

[clipping]

[wow gurl you just do not give up!!!]

Are you even sure you know where you're going? What if you get lost?

[let him redirect your attention and get away from your stupid dare, Nat. (Actually don't)]

It sounds like you're nervous.

[the vaguest smile. she's got 2 siblings, she can goad all day.]

[clipping]

[I had two siblings once... then I killed one of them.]

Does it? You need to get your ears checked.

So you'll race me! Brilliant.

Are you sure? That - doesn't sound very fair for you. I'm a pretty fast runner.

[It's good for catching victims. I mean getting good grades in gym class]

So am I, best not to have an unfair advantage.

[It's almost definitely arrogant, but it doesn't sound arrogant. She says it so matter of fact, like Cole could say his feet turn into a jet propellers and she would still be faster.]

[clipping]

[But. Why do we have to run at all. This is stupid. I hate you Nattttt]

And if you do get lost? What do I say to Mistress Philenor? That it was your fault?

[vrajitorie]

If you want. You could make something up.

[She's not going to get lost, probably. ] You're very sure I'm going to get lost. Do I seem the dizzy type?

[clipping]

You seem like you don't know this place any better than I do.

[See, he's so concerned for you.]

[vrajitorie]

Which means there's every possibility of us getting lost together. The odds aren't looking all that good either way.

[clipping]

[A light snort.]

You're really bored, aren't you.

[But he steadies himself, coming to a stop, waiting for her to do the same. If she insists, refusing is only going to make him look bad and probably cost him a friend.]

How much of a headstart do I get?

[vrajitorie]

Not the most bored I've been in my life, but yes. I'll give you three minutes.

[Is that a fair head start? She thinks so. ] Or more, if you'd like.

[clipping]

I guess I'll just have to trust you to decide.

[And off he goes, but not really running that fast. He isn't a showoff! And doesn't want her to know how fast he can really go.

Not yet, anyway.]

[vrajitorie]

[Whether or not that's a mistake remains to be seen. Natalia's ego is big enough that she's certain the pollen won't be a disastrous consequence if she loses. And even if it does affect her - well. She's not an animal.

She waits three minutes, after he's just out of sight, and then a few minutes longer before she stretches her legs out and starts a sprint.

She's not as fast Hermes or any super hero, but she is quick. ]

[clipping]

[Cole's only human, so no matter how fit he is, Nat's got the upper hand. Even if he thinks he makes it on good time he'll probably just find her there waiting for him, and when that happens,]

... Did you find a shortcut?

[vrajitorie]

Oh, not a big one. I said I'm fast, didn't I? I did cross country in school.

[That's a lie. ] Shall we get what we came for, then? You've got some flowers to sniff on the way back.

[clipping]

[Cole isn't so breathless that he has to pause between words, but running all the way here has still done a number on his physical state. He's breathing a little faster, his cheeks pink, warmer from the exercise.]

... Right. The flowers.

[Ughfewuhdsgh. How can he stall this.]

[vrajitorie]

You suit the colour on your face.

[The flush is nice; lights up his pale skin. She knows from her own skin that it always looks better with a little pink. ]

We should get the swallowtail first and then you can panic about the state of your libido.

[clipping]

[He thinks? That was a weird compliment ew ur obsessed with me.]

So you're telling me you won't be worried. Just a little bit.

[Even if he did try something, apparently she could just outrun him.]

Not particularly. I'm not just fast.

[Slightly vague and ominous. ] Aren't you worried that I might take advantage of you?

Maybe you wouldn't be.

[He sounds a bit too flat to be suggestive, but. Well.]
